Thiseldo is a small collection of contemporary getaways in the UK, embedded in their scenic surroundings they calm the distractions of modern life enabling you to reconnect. London based couple Gary and Chelsie Hoxby, who both come from creative industries, have started a collection of contemporary getaways in the UK. Embedded in scenic surroundings they calm the distractions of modern life enabling you to reconnect.
The origins of their chosen name THISELDO relates to the heritage of their Cornish property. Built on the site of an original 1930’s beach chalet aptly named “Thiesldo”, it is believed that predating this a converted train carriage was given a permanent location on this spot providing a holiday getaway that would “do” just fine. Interestingly, when the old chalet was demolished a perfectly preserved copy of Film Fun newspaper dated 1938 was found in the walls. The Hoxby’s have framed this snipped of history for their guests to see.

The design-led couple have considered every element of holiday living in each of their breathtaking spaces. With an eye for quality and a passion for detail, their goal is to create small holiday homes to not only enjoy with their two young children, but to share with a wider community of likeminded people.
